1. Hello from Shirley
1. Hello from ShirleyHiThis week I have been burning the midnight oil and I have added SIX new pages to my site. On one of them I need your help. I would really appreciate it, if you could give me a few minutes of your time and think of the best stories for preschoolers that represent your country or any other country that you have read about. For example, Heidi, is a well-loved story about Switzerland. I would prefer titles or reviews of picture books, but good chapter books that are suitable for preschoolers are welcome too. Just hit REPLY to send me your suggestions.
If you are not receiving this email in html format or you find white gaps where there should be images, then use this link for a much more colorful and easier-to-read version!
2. Updates at Shirley's Preschool ActivitiesI am guessing that most of the subscribers to this ezine are moms, so you are probably not the ones needing ideas for Mother's Day, but your family are, so here are my thoughts: 1. Make it easy for your family to bless you on Mother's Day by giving them a wishlist. If you read Mother's Day Ideas you will find some ideas that will hardly cost your family a cent, yet which I am sure you will appreciate - basically, it is my personal wishlist!! 2. If you want your family to honour you, you need to be an example to them and honour your own mother and mother-in-law. Get your children involved in making some cards or gifts for them. This Mother's Day Basket is a printable picture for your child to make by sticking flower pictures onto it. If a bouquet is too expensive to send to grandma, you can send her these flowers in an envelope! I plan to add a printable card to make and perhaps a few other gifts to make in the next few weeks, so watch this space!
Mother's Day is 14 May, by the way. (That's for my hubby who reads this too -x- )
3. Free ebook comingI know that you signed up to this ezine to get free readiness activities - and I hope you are having fun with them. I can't help but want to share with others about the wonderful opportunity that the internet offers to anyone who wants to earn a bit extra sharing info about anything that they love or know a lot about. For me, it is "preschool activities", but maybe you are passionate about a sporting activity or a hobby or the job you do or used to do (in your BC days - before children!) You don't have to be technically-minded either, as I said last week, 'if I can do it, then so can YOU!) Next week, I plan to offer you a free ebook that you can download that will explain it all to you. It was written by four work at home moms and it is very realistic and down to earth - no false figures or marketing hype!
Your Heart is for Your Kids, Right, but This is for YOU!
You can learn more here: 4. TipsEasy bathring remover
Buy the cheapest liquid soap, shampoo or bubble bath that you can find. A squirt in the kids' bathwater will help minimize the ring around the bath.
