American Presidents and Kids' Profile Pictures

We looked at various American coins and observe the profiles of the presidents

Then we turned out the lights on one side of the room and shone a bright flashlight onto the wall. The children took turns coming over to sit in front of the wall and I would trace the shadow of their profile onto black paper with chalk.

Later we cut them out and glued them to a big coin shape.

You could also use a digital camera to take a profile pic, print it, cut out etc. and it would be more accurate, but for my purposes the chalk worked fine.
