Ocean Theme MuralCreate a colourful ocean theme mural using free printable pages and cut outs. We created this colourful under-the-ocean mural to round off our ocean studies. It consists of 15 printable pages stuck together in 3 layers, with an option to repeat the pattern and make it longer. Click here for a list of other Preschool Ocean Theme activities. To complete it, requires a lot of colouring in so this mural is a great family or class project. Even our toddler doodled all over ours. Notice, our orange sky - we decided to make a sunset sky after "someone" coloured it the wrong colour! The printable pages, as well as clipart cut-outs of various ocean creatures can all be downloaded and printed from the following site free of charge. http://www.learningpage.com Please note that before you can access the relevent "Theme Sheets" of the above site, you will be required to register as a member - free. I have had no spam from this site and I elected NOT to receive their newsletter. No problems so far! Once you have registered, you must first login to the MEMBERS area of the site, otherwise you will not find the Murals! Tips for Creating the Ocean Theme Mural1. Begin by laying out the pages in the correct order - they are numbered 1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2B, 2C etc. 2. Colour in the sheets and try to keep colours continuous! 3. When you cut out the sheets, leave a white border on two sides that can be overlapped underneath the adjoining pages. This will make it easier to join them up. 4. Be creative - use textured paper to create additional sea-weed, add ocean theme stickers, real sea-shells, sand, cut outs from ocean theme gift wrap, other ocean art your kids have created or use the clipart cut outs from the Learning Page website. If you do this ocean theme mural, please share a photo to add to this page. It would be great to inspire others with a variety of pictures of this completed project! Use the form below.
